Please support the amendment of the administrative code, 4VAC10-30-170, to include the following text:
This regulation shall not apply to the carrying of concealed handguns within state forests by holders of a valid concealed handgun permit issued pursuant to § 18.2-308 of the Code of Virginia.

On a personal level, this will ensure that I am legally able to protect myself and my family while enjoying Virginia's forests.  Citizens holding permits to carry a concealed weapon have undergone background checks and attended firearm safety courses, and do not pose a threat to others enjoying the forests.  Please support this amendment!
