As a law abiding, taxpaying, citizen of the Commonwealth of Virginia, I would greatly appreciate it if I were allowed to lawfully carry my handgun into Virginia's State parks.  Should I need to defend myself from man or beast, I doubt very seriously that a law enforcement officer will be able to come to my aide expeditiously.

Please amend this law and allow those of us who respect the law by legally obtaining a concealed carry permit, to carry in Virginia’s State Parks.
