I support this regulation, but it also needs to include open carry. Virginia is an open carry state. It makes no sense to make lawful citizens criminals when they are following the laws of the state! Don't bow to the hysterics, lies and fears where decades of evidence in Virginia indicates that open carry is safe, and in fact, reduces crime. There is no danger that open or concealed carry will lead to armed conflict in the forests. The purpose of any carry is for self-defense only, by law abiding citizens. The criminals that prey on innocents have no regard for any laws or regulations. Do not may lawful citizens victims by usurping their God-given right to self-defense.
