Mandatory Vaccination is Unnecessary

I’m a public school teacher that waited patiently for a normal school year to finally begin.  I’m thankful to be back in the classroom full time and my students are doing so well in an in person atmosphere. My classroom has become more aware of our hygiene practices and students and teachers now stay home if they are feeling sick.  I have chosen to be unvaccinated because I do not feel that it has been proven to protect myself or those around me to the extent that the public has been promised. I have been exposed to and have had COVID thankfully with limited symptoms. As a school teacher, I have been exposed to more germs than many others over the years and I feel confident in my body’s ability to protect me without having to introduce unnecessary vaccinations into it.  Mandating a vaccine that has been pushed through the FDA approval  so rapidly by government and pharmaceutical companies is absurd! People deserve to have a choice over their own health especially when the data isn’t supporting its efficacy.
