| Description | The regulations specify minimum technical criteria and administrative procedures for stormwater management programs which local governments are authorized to adopt to achieve the effective control of precipitation runoff from land development projects. The regulations also specify minimum statewide standards to achieve the effective control of soil erosion, sediment, deposition and nonagricultural precipitation runoff resulting from land-disturbing activities. The objective is to prevent the degradation of property, stream channels, waters and other natural resources in the Commonwealth. Land disturbing activities include, but are not limited to, clearing, grading, excavation and filling of land. |
