The regulations protect public health by providing effective standards applicable to hotels addressing food preparation and handling, physical plant sanitation, the provision, storage, and cleansing of linens and towels, general housekeeping and maintenance practices, approved water supply and sewage disposal, vector and pest control, swimming pools, saunas, and other similar facilities, and ice machines and dispensers of perishable food items, along with appropriate provisions for obtaining a license.

Goals of Regulation |
Whether the regulations continue to protect public health by providing effective standards applicable to hotels addressing food preparation and handling, physical plant sanitation, the provision, storage, and cleansing of linens and towels, general housekeeping and maintenance practices, approved water supply and sewage disposal, vector and pest control, swimming pools, saunas, and other similar facilities, and ice machines and dispensers of perishable food items, along with appropriate provisions for obtaining a license. NOTE: As of September 2000, these regulations have been undergoing a prelilminary process of comprehensive revision. Once adopted, these regulatory amendments and the existing regulations will be reviewed within three years.
