| Action Summary | The 2024 Session of the General Assembly directed the State Board of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services to amend the Licensing Regulations to ensure and support high-quality crisis services. As a result, the State Board initiated a final exempt action on May 14, 2024, to create regulations tailored to crisis receiving centers, community-based crisis stabilization, crisis stabilization units, and regional education assessment crisis services habilitation (REACH) providers. The crisis services regulations became effective on July 17, 2024. Over the course of the past year, the Department and stakeholders have identified several areas of the new regulations where clarifying and technical amendments would benefit individuals receiving services as well as crisis providers. This action will implement those revisions to simplify provisions while maintaining high-quality crisis services. |
