| Action Summary |
This action creates a new section under an existing chapter within the Individual License and Certification Regulations to establish a process for issuance and renewal of temporary elevator mechanic certifications. The Code of Virginia mandates that whenever a licensed contractor is able to demonstrate to the Board that there is a shortage of certified elevator mechanics, the Board shall issue temporary certifications in instances where specific conditions are met. |
