Action 5910
General Information
Action Summary |
This action repeals 6VAC 15-28, Regulations Governing Public/Private Joint Venture Work Programs Operated in a State Correctional Facility. Originally established under authority of Sections 53.1-5 and 53.1-45.1 of the Code of Virginia, amendments by the the 2003 General Assembly divested the Board of Corrections (predecessor name of the current Board of Local and Regional Jails) of authority to promulgate regulations regarding Section 53.1-45.1 of the Code of Virginia (Chapter 94, 2003 Acts of Assembly). Therefore, the Board no longer has the authority to promulgate regulations for public/private joint venture work programs operated in state correctional facilities and these regulations are no longer needed or authorized, and must be repealed to conform to changes in statutory law pursuant to Section 2.2-4006(4)(a) of the Code of Virginia. |
