| Action Summary | The 2020 General Assembly amended the Virginia Waste Management Act (Act) under Chapter 14 of Title 10.1 of the Code of Virginia. Chapter 621 of the 2020 Acts of Assembly prohibits the disposal of solid waste in an unpermitted facility and provides that the presence of unpermitted solid waste on a person's property is prima facie evidence that the person allowed solid waste to be disposed of on his property without a permit. Based on this action by the General Assembly, this regulatory action will amend Section 40 of the Virginia Solid Waste Management Regulations to comport with the Chapter 621 of the 2020 Acts of Assembly. |
