General Information
Action Summary To conform regulations in 18VAC90-50 to changes in the Code of Virginia enacted by the 2020 General Assembly (HB1121), the Board has amended section 40 on requirements for initial licensure to clarify the requirement for completion of a massage therapy educational program that has a minimum of 500 hours of training and to specify the requirements for a foreign-trained massage therapist, including proficiency in English.

Executive Branch Review This Action is exempt from Article 2 of the Administrative Process Act. The normal executive branch review process is not required. As such, it can be submitted directly for publication and is effective upon publication.
