Action:
Hospital Presumptive Eligibility
Action 4432
General Information
Action Summary |
Federal regulations require that qualified hospitals be allowed to make temporary Medicaid eligibility determinations for individuals who are seeking medical treatment. The hospital determinations are based on an assessment of the individuals' status as members of a covered group; their income; their state residency; and citizenship status. The hospital then assists these individuals in completing and submitting full Medicaid applications for future Medicaid coverage. |
