Description of Proposed Guidance Document Changes
The changes to the Foster Care guidance are a result of legislation passed during the 2020 Session of the Virginia General Assembly. Substantive changes to the Foster Care guidance include changes to: Fostering Futures, exceptions to termination of parental rights, services for pregnant/parenting youth, services for children who are victims or at-risk of sex trafficking, and the addition of fictive kin to KinGAP.
