Description of Proposed Guidance Document Changes
The guidance changes are necessary in order for VDSS to implement the Preventing Sex Trafficking Designation for congregate care providers under the Family First Act. The designation and changes to guidance will allow VDSS to access federal funding for children in foster care that are placed in designated placements. Changes are being made to Chapters E and I of the Child and Family Services Manual.
