Description of Proposed Guidance Document Changes
The Guidelines for Alternate Routes to Licensure were developed in response to House Bill 2486 of the 2019 Virginia General Assembly. The current revisions clarify that a petition must go before the Board of Education for approval. The Board may imposed conditions upon a petition in conjunction with its approval.
