Description of Proposed Guidance Document Changes
The changes to Chapter E: Foster Care of the Child and Family Services Manual are the result of legislation passed during the 2022 Session of the Virginia General Assembly. Additional changes include alignment with Local Department Resource, Foster and Adoptive Family Home Approval Guidance, clarification of kinship assistance programs, additions to mandated training for new permanency workers, and increased basic maintenance rates.
