Whether it be on my own property or any where in public where I'm allowed to carry a concealed weapon, I always feel more safe. More importantly, should the need arise, I feel more prepared to protect myself and my family from whatever may be there to harm them.
A wooded, isolated state park with very little park supervision is no different, and the potential likelihood of criminals 'hiding in the shadows' is a very real concern for me.
Prevention is everything, and if criminals know they are not the only folks out there with guns, then they may think twice before taking making bad decision.
