Abortion center regulations are essential for the health and safety of Virginia women and children and must be maintained, not weakened.
The recent suspension of abortions at a Fairfax facility due to 26 health and safety violations proves the regulations work, and must be preserved, not watered down. The abortion industry has fought regulation for years. Yet independent inspectors repeatedly find serious deficiencies at these centers, even during announced inspections. Clearly these centers cannot self-regulate. Abortion is not healthcare because it ends lives instead of healing them. However, since abortion operates under the guise of healthcare, abortion centers must adhere to the regulatory standards of other healthcare facilities. Simply Virginia women and children deserve nothing less.
