Women contemplating an abortion have enough to worry about with the procedure itself (risk of effects to their mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health such as increases risk of placenta previa and risk to future pregnancies with a surgical abortion), they should not have to also worry about contracting a disease or not being taken care of in the case of an emergency. This only adds to the trauma that abortion has already been for so many women and men.
Please--protect and preserve life, our families, and justice. How can something be reproductive injustice if it protects women from physical harm? Why is it we expect high standards of care at our hospitals yet water it down for abortion clinics? Are our low income families not worthy of quality care?
