My family and I, who are lifelong avid hunters, oppose this proposal. Clearly the DWR is seeking to impose a heavy financial burden on the new hound hunter, all the while they are claiming to support hunting. This regulation is a ploy to use against the deer and bear hunters to add yet another hurdle to hunting with dogs. This is just one more example of the anti-hunting bias of the DWR and its board.
