I am a resident of Southside Virginia. I respectfully ask that you vote NO to the dog trespass bill.  My family are life long hunters and have hunted with hounds for as long as I can remember. I have watched my son, now 18, grow over the years to love the sport. He was gifted 3 hounds in 2018; still owns those hounds today and has cared for them and many more in the years since. He, as well as many other fellow houndsmen in our surrounding counties, take pride in raising hounds and hunting with hounds and are always respectful of private property if and when it is necessary to retrieve a dog. Placing unreasonable and/or unrealistic restrictions for dog hunting on ALL rather than penalizing those that do violate landowner rights would be a detriment to a heritage that so many, young and old, have come to love and enjoy.
