Dog Hunting

I oppose any and all regulations on hunting with hounds. Hunting with hounds is a tradition and way of life for many in the commonwealth.  The relationships cultivated and valued learned are generational.  Hound hunting also contributes significantly to our state economy.   Based on the current state of society common sense tells me that our state resources would be better allocated towards reducing violent crime,  addressing mental health issues, increasing high skill high wage jobs, proving improved access to education, working to improve the opioid crisis, etc...rather than wasting time and tax dollars on hound hunting.  Furthermore, based on my 32 years experience hunting and fishing lawfully in Virginia, it seems our conservation police cannot even enforce existing laws and regulations based on staffing levels. Why don't you start by making the necessary internal adjustments to enforce what's already on the books before adding more regulations which will not be enforced.
