Requiring centers to keep infants' daily records for 60 days would be a huge administrative burden and would push more centers towards digital systems, which leads teachers to use digital devices in the classroom and distracts them from being present with the children. Our center uses a sustainable white board system and we would be unable to continue using this system if this new standard were passed.
As the mother of an infant, I see no use for this policy change as I do not need my child's 60 day records kept by the school.
