We are copying a previous comment re VQB5 to second that, as we had a similar experience
'I could not believe that evaluators asked to speak with my teachers during their playground times. Here, of all places, is where I need all eyes watching students for safety and focused on the task at hand! My teachers are charged with circulating and engaging. This is not the proper time for such a conversation!'
In our case the VQB5 observers wanted to discuss with our staff - in the office - their findings of the observations, expecting us to have a sub readily available to step in. Their mindset was definitely based on their elementary school experience and some of them had never set a foot in an ECE facility, let alone understand its business practices.
While we welcome feedback on our staff's interactions with the kids, we do think it is not an observers' job to discuss their job performance.
