QMHP Regulation Change
In addition to considering a hybrid approach to supervision and for criminal justice to be an approved degree, I feel there are at least two other matters that should be taken into consideration.
Sociology should once again be allowed to be considered as a Human Services related degree.
QMHP-C and QMHP-A candidates should have the same criteria for obtaining there designation. More specifically, those applying for a QMHP-C should be allowed to have an unrelated degree as long as they have 15 semester credit hours of human services classes and 3,000 hours of supervised experience. Currently a QMHP-C must have a human service related degree and the unrelated degree alternative that is afforded to QMHP-A candidates is not an option.
