Pursuant to Chapter 14 of Title 28.2 of the Code of Virginia, you are hereby notified that a public hearing will be held by the Virginia Marine Resources Commission (VMRC) at their meeting beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, in the Commission meeting room at 380 Fenwick Road, Building 96, Fort Monroe, to consider an application submitted by Gail Smith to construct a 136 linear-foot stone revetment channelward of an existing bulkhead and to install a 16-linear-foot and a 245-linear-foot stone sill with sand fill and wetlands plantings for the construction of a living shoreline adjacent to 4038 Tanglewood Trail situated along the Eastern Branch Elizabeth River in Chesapeake.  The project requires a Tidal Wetlands Permit.  To view the project drawings please open 2023-2024 in the following link: https://webapps.mrc.virginia.gov/public/habitat
