As a taxpaying citizen, I vehemently disagree with implementing any of these policies. While these are considered to cut back discrimination of people who consider themselves transgender, it is really flipping the whole system around to discriminate against anyone who has a different opinion. What happened to a free society where people can have their own opinion and be able to speak it freely without fear for their safety or risking retribution? It's actually mentioned in the 1st amendment of the Constitution, so I would recommend reading that and considering how you are violating the rights of millions of children and families by implementing these policies. It is NOT your right to invade the personal space of a minor, making them feel uncomfortable and unsafe in the presence of a different gender, ESPECIALLY without parental consent or permission. What is wrong with leaving things as they are??!! Why is it "wrong" to allow one person to feel uncomfortable by "forcing" them to use the bathroom around people they don't want to....but it's somehow not considered wrong to allow them to make others uncomfortable by switching bathrooms??! None of this makes any sense and I hope you will realize this. If a person wants to do certain things in the privacy of their home, that should not involve other people and their innocent children. If a child wants to change their name, that should be between them and their parents until they reach adulthood. I think the educational system should re-focus on the study of real academics, not radical social ideologies. And let's consider teaching respect for ALL people, not just minorities and people who are considered "different."
