This standard establishes requirements for employers to control, prevent, and mitigate the spread of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) to and among employees and employers.
This permanent standard supersedes the Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS), Infectious Disease Prevention, SARS-CoV-2 Virus That Causes COVID-19 that was in effect from July 27, 2020 until January 26, 2021. Goals of Regulation |
Goals for the Standard would include establishing methods to control, prevent and mitigate the spread of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) to and among employees and employers; and providing for the development and use of Infectious disease preparedness and response plans and training programs by certain employers.
