Purpose of legislation
The legislation contains the changes in the provisions of the enterprise zone program that have been developed to modify the existing program that will sunset on July 1, 2005. Among other items, it repeals existing Code provisions and replaces them with a more targeted program that includes grants rather than tax credits as a major incentive for business investment in zones.
