The current CPS regulations need to comply with the laws regarding substance-exposed infants. The importance of involving CPS for a full 24 hours to alleged reports of abuses of children two years old allowing for a higher level of protection cannot be understated. The need to reevaluate the barriers to treatment for substance-exposed infants is something that should be strongly considered moving forward.
