I, Christy Evanko, Licensed Behavior Analyst, support the proposed changes in continuing education requirements. As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, it is also my recommendation that current certification by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) be required for obtaining and maintaining licenses in Virginia. That would ensure that all licensees meet current standards set by the profession, which are updated periodically by the BACB based on job analysis studies and developments in the field.
