The Virginia Dental Association is in support of the emergency regulations concerning the use of mobile dental vans providing dental services to areas within the Commonwealth.  We feel that the regulations are necessary to protect the public and to make sure that the for-profit mobile clinics are held to the same standards as fixed based dental operations.  The goal of these mobile clinics should be, above all, to make sure that the children seen are connected to a 'dental home'.  We feel that these regulations do that and do provide adequate safety requirements and responsibilties to assure quality of care to the children seen by these clinics.
