Any day that a practicing engineer does not learn something is a wasted day. Much of our knowledge base comes from material suppliers, Engineering News Record, CE News or equivalent publications, the leaning of new or upgraded  technical software, regulatory standards and changes, interaction with State Agencies, peer groups, the internet, and the occasional quality seminar. Credits need to be extended for Membership in engineering societies and subscriptions to technical magazines. Please limit the need to attend seminars to the equivalent of two one half day workshops per year and provide credit for the reading and research that we do on our own..
