The comment by DISADVANTAGED PARENT titled GET WOKE pretty much says it all. I’ll quote part of the comment:  “It’s important for some groups to hate themselves and for other groups to hate them.  It’s the only way grow through showing little kids how unfair and unjust things are for all people who belong to a certain group”.  

Seriously, what kind of psychopath condones teaching hate to children?  What kind of psychopath wants to make victims out of one group and to justify that victimhood, to hate another?

This is what SEL’s represent to people, teaching little children to hate; teaching victimhood. How many more children need to suffer a mental health crisis and commit suicide, like what happened this year with school closures, for the VADoE to stop experimenting on our children and do what’s right by them, putting politics aside?  If you believe this program won’t have a negative impact on children’s mental health, you are inept to do your jobs.  Similar teaching were completed in Portland and during its riots, there were 14 year olds kicking others in the head.  This is what this leftist, indoctrination produces. There is a teacher on record saying that children were revolutionaries. Looking at the similarities between SEL and the emotion behind it, this is parallel to what the Kilmer Rouge in Cambodia were preaching under Pol Pot and in Red China under Chairman Mao.  In both these cases millions of its citizens were systematically murdered, starved and demonized.  

Perhaps the VADoE needs to focus on teaching history because as George Santayana wrote "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."
