I'm not sure why so many people think the mere mention of the fact that other cultures exist would be a horrible thing, but studies have shown that SEL benefits EVERYONE. It's naturally weaved into the curriculum, so they'll still learn everything else they need to know. Basic human decency is not going to threaten your rights or livelihoods.  As a matter of fact, it could make relationships with your child better and make them better communicators in the long run. Read actual information on what this is and don't let political ideology make decisions for you.
