The original public school charter, if you will, in these United States predates the ratification of the Constitution. Public schools were begun to teach children to read so they could read the Bible for themselves in order that they would not be deluded by Satan. VDoE, please focus on the primary mission of teaching all students reading, writing, arithmetic, and history. Honest history that allows young citizens to see the consequences of ideas and encourages their critical thinking, not groupthink. Love of God, neighbor, and country will draw people together. It's not a skin problem that divides us, but a sin problem.
