While it is important to support our children socially and emotionally, teachers already do this!  They teach kindness to kindergarteners, encourage open discussions when emotions run high,  etc. Adding these requirements just takes away from actual academic leaning which is what SHOULD be taught in our schools.  Please stop trying to ruin Virginia schools with policies like these that will run good teachers out to other states and overwhelm kids with more nonsensical "benchmarks"  Teachers are not therapists, clergy, or social workers, nor should they be!
