My four-year-old son will not be attending public schools if these "standards" of learning pass. I do not need him to learn social and emotional "lessons" in an academic classroom; I need him to learn math, reading, and history (accurate history- not this slavery was a main reason for the Revolutionary and Civil Wars tale). If public schools become a place where individual thinking and American ideals are penalized, I will gladly pay for a non-biased, non-state funded education.
