Social Emotional Learning is so important for our students. Students cannot excel in their academics if they do not have foundational social and emotional building blocks. SEL will help to build our students up so that they can become stable and strong adults who are able to communicate effectively while being inclusive to all folks around them! 

SEL is necessary and happens in the school building already. Parents/ community members who are upset with this should examine their reasoning. If a parent is encouraging their child to be kind & inclusive, express their emotions, and communicate effectively, then they should have no issue with this programming. Again, this ALREADY HAPPENS in most schools because it NEEDS TO.
