The schools' effort to incorporate CRT into their instruction is divisive, and it reflects a patronizing worldview; it usurps the right of parents to instruct their children in important values. Further, requiring schools to incorporate SEL into instructional time will inevitably lead to more division, as well as more bureaucracy and ideologically charged curricula. It will also take classroom time away from real academic subjects.
