I support the new regulation to allow Concealed Carry of handguns In State Parks and Forests, but I also support Open Carry in these areas.  As such I would ask for a hearing on allowing Open Carry in State Forests that would bring these areas into compliance with a formal opinion (08-043) published in September 2008 by the Virginia Attorney General.
