Allow Concealed Handguns with a Lawful Concealed Handgun Permit on State Forests

I fully support the proposed change to allow lawful Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP) hodlers to carry concealed ahdguns on state forests. Under exiting Virginia law, CHP holders are the only portion of the population that has been documented and approved with proof of firearm traiing, no feloiny convictions, no domestic violence record, and no record of major mental illness. As a group, CHP holders are one of the most law-abiding and trustworty identifiable group in the state populaiotn. Having it known that such people may be armed for self-defense while in the State Forests will actually increase the safety of all users of the forests, since thier presence will deter criminal activity.
