In order for us to accommodate a growing case volume, we should broaden the roles of our support staff. Placing an IV catheter is a skill that is easily taught/learned and would take a huge burden off the licensed technicians - allowing them to focus on the higher-level treatments (NE tube placement, sampling lines, etc.) that they were trained for.
