Against unlicensed personnel being allowed to place IV catheters. They lack the knowledge to understand or be accountable for the repercussions of incorrect placement.  Vets should be encouraging the assistants to go to school instead to get the education. This is a slippery slope that will have no licensed personnel asking for more abilities and vets unwilling to pay lvts. This intimately leads to less techs.
