Unlicensed veterinary assistants should not be performing procedures designated for specially trained, licensed LVTs. It is not only unsafe for the pet but also an insult to the profession of LVTs. Rulemaking like this is why it is impossible to gain fair wages in the animal care/veterinary medicine field.
