Clients expect a certain level of care for their pets/ members of their family. LVT’s are trained in the HOW but also the WHY of IV catheter placement. Unlicensed individuals do not have the same technical training and therefor cannot provide the same level of patient care in this respect. The safer option is to keep the placement of IV catheters with Licensed individuals
