I STRONGLY SUPPORT the continued regulation of Certified Professional Wetland Delineators (PWD) by the Commonwealth of Virginia’s Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR).

The PWD certification provides a level of insight and understanding of the the states wetlands that a national certification does not.  It is important to the integrity of the field science and that level of local knowledge is at risk by removal of the state certification.  The PWD provided a level of trust to the regulators and the public.
