STRONG Support of Continued Licensure of Landscape Architects

Landscape Architects design for Health, Safety and Welfare is a fashion that no other discipline, licensed or not, can claim.  Landscape Architects are the only licensed professional that are trained to bear structural safety measures when designing edifice for human interaction, respect environmental concerns for retaining natural resources and sustainability while retaining the welfare of the soul for the individuals that are interacting, and practicing to "do no harm" when redesigning the land's infrastructure to accommodate our homes, neighborhoods, communities and industry.

You are being mislead by your research committee.  There is no comparison to the training and education that is required of Licensed Landscape Architects to that of unlicensed designers.  Additionally, the Practice of Landscape Architects reflects this in our ability to lead projects, manage all of the trades required to establish health, safety and welfare balance while maintaining the wherewithal to oversee the big picture, the impact and success of all disciplines.

Please continue to license Landscape Architects! Thank you.
