The professional wetland delineator (PWD) certification makes sure that the people performing your wetland delineation and writing and submitting your projects’ permits are vetted wetland delineators who know the state regulations in and maintain an expedient permit approval trajectory and avoid costly delays or legal challenges on your projects. Regulations are rapidly changing wetland delineation reporting requirements and permitting nuance.  While there are other certification programs including the Society of Wetland Scientists' Professional Wetland Scientist, the PWD certification is the only certification that requires both experience AND passing of written examination.  Other certifications do not require proof of proficiency through examination.
