I strongly urge that Virginia's Board for Professional and Occupational Regulations continue to license Landscape Architects for the following reasons:

• Landscape Architects directly impact public health, safety and welfare for the public.
• Licensure ensures that those without education, experience and examination are prevented from engaging in professional practices that significantly impacts public health, safety and welfare, protecting the public from both physical and monetary harm.
